PM - Centre of the Lower Mainland
Pitt Meadows is ideally situated in the centre of the Lower Mainland and is the gateway between Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. With three US border crossings within 30 minutes, the Delta Port within one hour and two international airports within 45 minutes, Pitt Meadows is a prime location for investment. In addition, the CP Rail Intermodal Yard is located within the community and we have our own regional airport.

Rail Facilities
Vancouver Intermodal Facility (VIF) - The Canadian Pacific Railway’s (CPR) VIF is located in Pitt Meadows on the south side of Lougheed Highway just east of the Pitt River Bridge.


Pitt Meadows Regional Airport - In the past, the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport catered mainly to private aircraft. Now with its instrument approach, the airport offers a prime location for commuter services, commercial charters and aviation industry support businesses. Pitt Meadows airport offers both aviation infrastructure and business growth opportunities.

Airport Way Road
Airport Way Road was built in Pitt Meadows as the main transportation route to conveniently connect commercial traffic entering or exiting the Golden Ears Bridge with the community’s industrial zoned lands and terminates at the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport. The road was built with roundabouts that can accommodate WB-20 designed vehicles, allowing for easy turning movements and quick access in and out of the Golden Ears Business Centre.

FOUR - Access to Labour and Talent

Our strategic location at the centre of the Lower Mainland means that we’re surrounded by the urban amenities and population of the Lower Mainland. Within a 30 minute commute there is an available labour force of approximately 600,000 people.

Within 20-60 minutes of our community, you will find three of the largest post-secondary institutions and research centres in British Columbia including the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the University of British Columbia (UBC). There are also approximately 10 colleges and universities within a short distance.
